BILLINGS- The week starts with more bitter cold temperatures, and dangerous wind chills.
Monday morning wind chills in the -30’s and -40’s mean that the first signs of frostbite can begin in as little as 10 to 15 minutes. Cover exposed skin, dress in layers, and limit time outdoors.
Monday high temperatures will be mainly in the single digits to low teens, but with plenty of sunshine. Even a little bit of a breeze will continue to keep wind chill values below zero all day.
Overnight readings returned to the single digits to low teens below zero, and generally clear to mostly clear.
For Tuesday, a little upturn in the temperatures can be expected with highs in the upper teens to low 20s. Wednesday remains chilly, with highs once again in the teens to around 20°.
Expect the 20s to mid 30s for highs Thursday through Sunday, but the chance of snow showers will increase with the warm up.
